At the Taunton Girls Softball League, we run year-round fastpitch softball programs, skills clinics, travel teams, maintain five softball fields, an indoor batting facility with two batting cages, buy uniforms, pay umpires, give out trophies, hold an opening day ceremony, year end event, make capital improvements to our facilities and try to plan for the future.

 

The only way we can do all that while maintaining low registration fees for our players is through fundraising.

 

Our Fundraising Committee is always looking for great ideas for raising money. Each year, the Taunton Girls Softball League sponsors beverage drives (to help stock our concession stand), picture days, a Meat-On-A-Stick event, a meat raffle, league logo clothing sales, raise money through 50/50 raffles and all-around fun at the Softball Opening Day Celebration among other things.

 

We also raise money by asking local business to sponsor teams and place signs in our outfields. It's all part of offering the children of Taunton a fun, fulfilling and uplifting athletic experience.
