Taunton Tigers

2014 Softball Skills Clinics

 

The Taunton High Tigers are hosting softball skills clinics for players in grades 5-12.  The clinics will focus on the fundamentals of hitting and pitching for players of all levels.  Instructors will be current and former players who have succeeded at high school and collegiate levels, and are currently involved in sharing their expertise with middle and high school athletes through coaching and training.

 

Location: 

  1. Taunton High School (Upper Gym)

 

Dates: Sunday Mornings

  1. Jan 12, 19, 26    Feb 2, 9, 23   March 2, 9
  2. Make-up dates in case of cancellation:  Feb 16 and March 16

 

Clinic Times:

  1. Hitting (Middle School):     9:00 – 10:00
  2. Hitting (High School):         10:15 – 11:15
  3. Hitting (High School):         11:30-12:30
  4. Pitching (High School):       9:00 – 10:00          
  5. Pitching (Middle School):    10:15 – 11:15
  1. Times may be subject to change depending upon number of participants for each group.

 

Cost:  

  1. $95.00 per 8 week session for each clinic

 

Instructors: 

  1. Heather Sargent (Hitting) … Standout softball player for Dighton-Rehoboth and Merrimac College.  Former THS JV and Varsity coach.  Current conditioning, hitting, and catching instructor.
  2. Riss Diminico (Hitting) … Catcher and Captain of the 2007 THS State Championship team.  Current THS coach.
  3. Kelsey Duffy Powers (Pitching) … Outstanding player for Dighton-Rehoboth HS and University of Rhode Island.  Current pitching coach at THS.

 

Registration: 

  1. Please register in advance by sending completed registration form and a check made out to Taunton High Softball to:  David Lewry, 54 Middleboro Ave., Taunton, MA 02780

 

  1. First come, first served:  Slots are limited … Register early to reserve a slot.  Registration deadline is January 10.

 

Equipment:

  1. Players must bring their own bat and helmet.
