TGSL Status Update re: COVID-19
3/17/2020

Dear TGSL Community,

With the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak rapidly changing, we are reaching out to provide you with a status update regarding the anticipated impact on the TGSL 2020 Spring Recreational Season.

At TGSL, we are committed to adhere to all public safety & health protocols, set forth by our local and national authorities, and our players, families and community’s health & safety remains our number one priority.  At this time, we will continue to follow the practice of social distancing, in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus, which includes taking the following action:

  • All player and league activities are suspended/postponed, until further notice.
  • Member meetings will not be held, until further notice.
  • All fields at the TGSL Complex are closed, until further notice.
  • Field Clean-Up Day has been postponed.
  • The TGSL Scholarship submission deadline date has been extended to April 19th.

All that being said… we still intend to play softball this Spring!  It was only a few years ago that we faced a season with snow on the fields in late April, however we were able to complete a full season, and it is our intention to do the same thing this year!  Opening day ceremonies have been cancelled, however we have anticipated a start to the TGSL 2020 Spring Recreational Softball Season somewhere in mid to late April (date TBD), so stay tuned!

We are aware that there is a global health crisis among us, and you can rest assured that we will only resume our Spring Softball Season once public health officials advise that it is safe to do so. Team Managers will be in contact with their players and families in the coming weeks to provide further updates. We encourage you to check our website and Facebook page for information, as well.

We thank you all for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented and evolving situation,  and we will continue to provide you with information as it becomes available.

Sincerely,

TGSL eBoard
