Taunton Girls Softball League Coaches Corner

 

Greetings Coaches and Prospective Coaches!

 

Thank your for volunteering to be a part of the Taunton Girls Softball League (TGSL). If you’re new to the league, TGSL is a girl’s fast-pitch softball league serving players ages 3 to 18 in the greater Taunton, Massachusetts area.

We have separate Spring and Fall recreational seasons and they are run with the objective of serving girls of our community regardless of their skill level. Our Spring Season is a full competitive and instructional season; where our Fall season is generally very low key and a time where we catch up on fundamentals and development.  TGSL also offers the Taunton Twisters (Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League) and Taunton Tornadoes Travel programs for those who are ready to kick it up a notch and take it to the next level; all right here in the greater Taunton area.

As a coach, you are the most important person in our organization. You determine the kind of experience our athletes have with sports. Our league can only survive based upon the commitment of people like yourselves who are willing to provide the time and effort to manage and coach our players. Our coaches are part of an organization that expects the best for themselves and for their players.

 

There is no one single action that can have more of a positive impact on our players than improving the quality and knowledge of our managers and coaches. This new section of our website is designed to be a tool which contains links for you to use to understand our league's philosophy, administrative guidelines and forms and most importantly, some very useful tools for planning a positive, productive and fun softball experience for all.
