2018 Twisters Summer Fastpitch Softball Travel Team Tryout Schedule
Note:  There is no fee for travel tryouts. All girls who wish to tryout must register to tryout by following the appropriate link below.

 

1. Tryout Schedule TBD - Spring, 2018

The selection committee will meet to select players for the travel team(s) after the final tryouts and form Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League teams.

 

All players will be notified via email and/or telephone of their team selections after the final round of tryouts and be expected to sign a parent/player contract, pay $150 registration fee ($75 for meat on a stick tickets that the player can sell) and get fitted for a uniform.  NOTE:  Registered Tornadoes players do not have to pay an additional registration fee since they have already paid it.

 

We will do our very best to try and place all girls on a Summer Twisters Travel team but placement on a team is not guaranteed and depends on a number of factors.

AGE DIVISIONS	10U, 12U, 14U & 18U Number of teams is dependent on the number of girls wishing to play and the availability of qualiifed managers.  This will vary from year to year and placement on a travel team is not guaranteed.
	Yes, registration is required to attend tryouts.
PLAYER COMMITMENT	Spring:  Weekly practice(s)* Spring Recreational Teams are players' priority. Summer: 2 week night games per week (Late June - Late July) for 5 weeks and 1 week (weeknights) of playoffs (usually last week of July) if team earns a spot (local travel) Weekly practices*
REGISTRATION COST (includes one uniform - jersey & pants)	$100 (registration fee) + $75 (meat on a stick tix - player reimbursed) = $175 Total due to the league (includes a $50 non-refundable deposit required at travel player signing registration to hold a spot on a team.  There is no fee for travel tryouts.) *NOTE:  Taunton Tornadoes players will not have to pay this additional registration fee as they have already paid a $200 registration fee.
FUNDRAISING OBLIGATIONS	$75 Meat on a Stick - Sell 5 $15 tickets Tagging - Each player must spend at least two hours tagging during one of the travel tag days
HOCKOMOCK GIRLS SUMMER SOFTBALL LEAGUE	Twisters teams will play in the Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League. Playing in the Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League affords the players an opportunity to compete against players they will likely play against during their High School careers.
QUALIFICATIONS	Must play on a TGSL Recreational League team. Taunton Tornadoes Travel players are eligible to play on a Twisters team as well but must try out. Non-TGSL Travel players (club) may try out and play on Twisters Teams.

 

 

* Varies by age, team and manager.  Some teams may choose to practice and not participate in SHAGS.
